La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council
Committed to serving Aboriginal people and the broader community
The objectives of the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council are to improve, protect and foster the best interests of all Aboriginal persons within the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Council’s area and other persons who are members of the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council.
The La Perouse Aboriginal Community is the longest functioning and only discreet Aboriginal community in Sydney. The current location of the community was a traditional camping ground and became the main community when the ‘camps’ around Sydney Harbour and Botany Bay were forcibly closed and members forced to live at La Perouse.
This section aims to provide information and access to the various services provided by the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council. Along with information about each service, the website page will provide the relevant forms and contact details (including La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council staff name, phone number and email enquiry functionality) for further questions from website visitors.
