OUR HISTORY

The La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council held its first meeting at La Perouse Public School on 27 February 1984 following the introduction of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (NSW). The La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council is an autonomous statutory body corporate, established to be a representative body for the La Perouse Aboriginal community. ​

Today, the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council is focused on providing effective services to the local Aboriginal community and delivering projects determined by its members.

ABOUT US

The objectives of the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council are to improve, protect and foster the best interests of all Aboriginal persons within the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council’s area and other persons who are members of the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council.
